The deadline for applications for the 2025 Fellowship for Arctic Community Leaders has been extended! New deadline: July 31, 2025
Collaborations brings together collaboration teams and communities of practice - led by both federal and non-federal co-leaders with diverse academic expertise - to advance research on Arctic topics. To address a key gap in these efforts, the Fellowship for Arctic Community Leaders (hereafter IARPCACL Fellowship) was established to support the inclusion of Arctic community leaders who bring deep, place-based knowledge to the research landscape. These perspectives are vital for achieving the goals of the 2022–2026 Arctic Research Plan by providing valuable insights and helping to align research with the priorities of Arctic residents. Acknowledging the time and resource constraints often faced by local leaders, the IARPCACL Fellowship aims to create new pathways for their meaningful and sustained participation in Collaborations, and professional development.
