Position Announcement: CIRES/Education and Outreach Polar Science Early Career Community Office Director

Alex Taitt November 9, 2021

Greetings! Please see below for position announcement for the CIRES/Education and Outreach Polar Science Early Career Community Office Director posted by University of Colorado Boulder today.

We are delighted to be launching a brand new, NSF-funded Polar Science Early Career Community Office. This office is designed to help support the efforts of USAPECS and other meaningful initiatives (with a specific focus on belonging, accessibility, justice, equity, diversity and inclusion) being led and run by polar early career scientists. The office will be a source of funding and grants as well as a supportive network and professional development hub for this community. Today we opened the position for the Director, and we’d love to encourage you to consider applying to shape and lead this office. Recent (or about to be) graduates, postdocs and people from groups that have traditionally been excluded from the polar sciences are encouraged to apply.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions,

Bec  (and my colleagues Anne Gold (CIRES education and outreach) and Brad Markle (INSTAAR))
