Action Statement
The ocean is a key player in the profoundly changing environment of the Arctic. Understanding the drivers and impacts of changes in the Arctic Ocean is a major challenge, and will benefit from a coordinated approach from researchers across the federal agency spectrum. ’s Physical Oceanography team aims to build a community of scientists, program managers, and stakeholders to help coordinate current and future research efforts in the physical oceanography of the Arctic Ocean, its connections to other Earth system components, and the human system.
