Recognizing the value of diversity and inclusiveness in Arctic science, this team encourages open conversations on how to increase inclusion and equity in scientific research to enhance problem solving and improve innovative solutions.
Scope of activities
The Diversity and Inclusion Community of Practice was created by the agencies to encourage open conversations on how to increase inclusion and equity in scientific research. It continues to meet and contribute to the goals and objectives of the Arctic Research Plan 2022-2026.

Accomplishments
Under the 2017-2021 Arctic Research Plan, the Diversity and Inclusion Community of Practice:
- Supported the revision of the Collaborations Code of Conduct.
- Hosted conversations on Co-Production of Knowledge, allyship, Indigenous food sovereignty and self-governance, and other topics.
- Shared information related to equity and inclusion in Arctic research.
