The Coastal Expert Monitoring Group of the Circumpolar Biodiversity Monitoring Program (CBMPinvites you to complete a questionnaire to inform their upcoming workshop as they prepare to develop a biodiversity monitoring program for coastal ecosystems across the circumpolar Arctic to be detailed in an Arctic Coastal Biodiversity Monitoring Plan. Results of the questionnaire will be summarised and presented at the Coastal Expert Monitoring Group's meeting in Ottawa, Canada in March.

This questionnaire is for those with knowledge of Arctic coastal environments, including coastal scientists and traditional knowledge experts, and for those who would benefit from a comprehensive and useful Arctic Coastal Biodiversity Monitoring Program, including members of coastal communities, the Arctic mining, shipping and tourism industries, Northern municipal, territorial and federal governments, Northern regulatory agencies, and co-management boards.

Please participate in the questionnaire here: by February 16.

The CBMP is an international network of scientists, governments, Indigenous organizations and conservation groups working to harmonize and integrate efforts to monitor the Arctic's living resources under the Conservation of Arctic Council Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF), the biodiversity working group of the Arctic Council. The Coastal Expert Monitoring Group's goal is to promote, facilitate, coordinate and harmonize coastal biodiversity monitoring activities among circumpolar countries and Permanent Participants, and to improve ongoing communication amongst and between scientists, community experts, traditional knowledge holders, managers and disciplines both inside and outside the Arctic.
