Alaska Marine Science Symposium Abstract Submission Open Until October 5

Abstract submission for the 2019 Alaska Marine Science Symposium (AMSS) is now open and will close on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 4 PM Alaska time. Visit https://www.alaskamarinescience.org/abstracts/ to submit an abstract.

The 2019 AMSS, Alaska’s premier marine research conference, will take place on January 28 - 31, 2019. AMSS brings together scientists, educators, resource managers, students, and interested public to discuss the latest and greatest marine research being conducted in Alaskan waters. Research will be presented by geographic theme, including the Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea & Aleutian Islands, and the Arctic. Topic areas will include ocean physics, fishes and invertebrates, seabirds, marine mammals, local traditional knowledge and more. For more information visit: http://www.alaskamarinescience.org

The Arctic Integrated Ecosystem Research Program will host a half-day workshop the morning of Friday, February 1 to share preliminary results and discuss opportunities for new collaborations. We welcome members of the scientific community and program managers of Federal agencies that support Arctic marine research to join us.
