This Arctic Systems Interactions webinar series aims to explore the characteristics, mechanisms, primary drivers, and predictability of different types of Arctic extremes. Through this series, we will examine the variability and trends, model representation/prediction, and the impacts of various Arctic extremes as well as their interconnected nature amongst Arctic systems.

This session focused on the effects of a marine heatwave on the ecosystem in the Gulf of Alaska and the Pacific Arctic.
