The International Glaciological Society will hold an International Symposium on ‘Interactions of Ice Sheets and Glaciers with the Ocean’ – a subject of growing urgency and scientific relevance as ocean-driven mass loss continues to dominate the evolution of the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets. Scripps Institution of Oceanography is an ideal location for this symposium, as an oceanographic institution which also hosts a Polar Center. ‘IGS2026’ is the third in a series, following successful symposia in 2011 and 2016.
