The State of Sea Ice Forecasting: Sea Ice Community Meeting June 2025

Meeting Goal

The goal of this meeting was to share recent advances in sea ice prediction and the state of seasonal sea ice prediction with the Sea Ice Community of Practice. The meeting featured talks on the Goddard Earth Observing System (GEOS) Sub-seasonal / Seasonal Project (S2S) System, v3 and an assessment of seasonal sea ice forecasting from the Sea Ice Outlook community. The meeting included discussion of future outlooks for sea ice prediction.
