In this town hall, will provide an update on accomplishments of the Arctic Research Plan, and will unveil the new implementation plan for the next two years.
The U.S. Arctic Research Plan 2022-2026 outlines a vision to collaboratively address emerging critical research questions about the Arctic. It is a high-level strategy accompanied by two-year implementation plans with specific research deliverables. From 2022 to 2024, researchers, federal agencies, and Arctic communities came together to make progress on the first set of deliverables, marking achievements in building community resilience and health, understanding Arctic system interactions, supporting sustainable economies and livelihoods, and managing and mitigating risks and hazards. Now, has created an implementation plan for 2024-5 outlining a new set of priorities for Arctic research collaboration.
In addition to information about achievements and forward-looking plans, this town hall will share information about how researchers, Arctic residents, and others can get involved in the Arctic Research Plan.
